Automotive, White goods, Furniture, Housing - Finance Minister Albayrak announces series of incentives / Positive The  Minister of Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak announced a series incentives for the domestic market. The incentives target to fight inflation as well as supporting some of the sharp contracting sectors. Accordingly, i) Special consumption tax (SCT)  lowered by 15pps for cars under 1600cc, ii) VAT lowered from 18% to 1% in LCVs (light commercial vehicles), iii) SCT lowered to zero from 6.7% in white goods sales, iv) VAT lowered (level not specified) in furniture sector and v) VAT lowered from 18% to 8% in home sales. The incentives will be valid only till the end of this year. The news is clearly positive for all mentioned sectors but automotive may see the largest positive impact due to the extent of the incentives. The companies that will be affected positively are Dogus Otomotiv, Tofas, Ford Otosan, Arcelik, Vestel Elektronik, Yatas and Dogtas Kelebek.

Buna göre; i) Motor hacmi 1600 cc altındaki araçlar için ÖTV 15 puan düştü, ii) ticari araçlarda KDV %18’den %1’e düştü, iii) beyaz eşyada ÖTV sıfırlandı, iv) konut satışlarında KDV %18’den %8’e düştü ve v) mobilya satışlarında KDV %18’den %8’e düştü. Teşvikler yıl sonuna kadar geçerli olacak. Teşvikler bahsedilen bütün sektörler için pozitif olsa da en pozitif etkilenecek sektörün otomotiv olacağını düşünmekteyiz.
