Turk Traktor August sales / Negative Turk Traktor’s domestic sales continued to plunge in August. August domestic sales alone were down by 77% while 8M18 figure was down by 40%. A in demand amid turbulent environment and market share losses to aggressive importers are leading to a nosedive in Turk Traktor’s local sales. We see almost no hope for any recovery in the rest of the year. One good news is exports still being relatively strong as August export shipments were up by 9%. All in all, August sales performance is negative for Turk Traktor.

• Turk Traktor sold 525 tractors in Turkey in August, indicating a plunge of 77% YoY.  The Company’s domestic sales were down by 40% YoY in 8M18. Volatile macro environment and increasing prices are leading to fall in farmers’ tractor demand. National bayram holiday was also another factor that exacerbated the fall in sales in the month of August. Additionally, aggressive sales of importers to deplete their stocks are bringing market share losses for Turk Traktor.

• The Company exported 1,211 tractors in August, yielding a 9% increase YoY. On a cumulative basis, the Company exported 8,822 tractors in 8M18; up by 7% YoY.
